Inside Our Moderation System

Explaining a little bit about our moderation system

At the end of the day, we just want this place to be fair and fun for everyone. That’s what we care about most. To stick with that, we try to be as open as possible about how moderation works and what our team actually sees.

First off, donating to the server doesn’t put you above the rules. It doesn’t matter who you are or how much you’ve chipped in, everyone plays by the same rules. That’s the only way this community stays fair.

We’re always watching for stuff like stealing, griefing, hacking, and x-raying. If something’s off, we check it out. Every situation gets looked at on its own, so we don’t just jump to conclusions. Context matters.

Here’s what we can actually do on the admin side:

- We can read private whispers, though we only do that if there’s a good reason.
- We can track every block you place or break.
- We can see how a product moves and what’s in it.
- We know which chests get opened.
- If you’re mining in weird patterns, we can even use transparent blocks to see your patterns
- We even have admin tools to track movement right down to the block.
- We can even Reroll everything you do.
- We can even see if you killed an animal/mob.

So here’s the deal: just play the game the way it’s meant to be played. Stick to the rules and treat each other decently. We get it, sometimes people mess up. But if you’re out to abuse the system, it’ll come out sooner or later. Our data goes back a long way to the start of the map.

The mods are people, too. We all make mistakes. But if someone’s out to wreck things for others, it just ruins the fun for everybody.

Thanks for hanging in there through this update (yeah, it’s a bit of a “don’t do drugs” speech, we know). We really appreciate everyone who makes up our Downriver community. When we all play fair, the game stays fun, and honestly, that’s what we’re here for.

If you have any questions about our systems, let us know.

Thanks for reading!
